MazFest 2013

If you’re not from southern California, there’s always a cool feeling you get when you are traveling out there.  There’s just something different about it.  The air, the cars, the landscape, the people, it’s just different.  To top it off, it’s a mecca for everything automotive.  There’s no doubt we were excited about traveling to the one and only Willow Springs Raceway to sponsor and attend MazFest this year.  It definitely didn’t disappoint after seeing MazdaTrix’s fully track prepped RX-7, tons of track prepped Miatas, a fully drift prepped RX-8, and all the dedicated car show entrants.

The sound of the rotaries are just incredible.  With plenty of unique builds including vertical opening doors on a Mazdaspeed 3 and a fully restored rotary powered Mazda truck there was plenty of eye candy for the weekend.  Take a look and make sure you try to make it out next year.  The track time is worth it all by itself, if nothing else.  If you have a thing or two for Mazdas, get this track event and show on your calendar for next year and start counting the days.  On Mazda!

I'm the founder of Edge Autosport and I remember first getting into cars in high school. I read all the magazines, bought a bunch of technical books, and finally got to start wrenching around the age of 19. I really enjoy modding and being able to live out a passion is truly awesome. I wouldn't change a thing.
